Announcements For Microsoft E3 2017
A press conference for the Microsoft E3 2017 recently finished and it is packed with amazing revelations. First of all the new Xbox was disclosed complete with all the need-to-know details! Also, in addition to this are some games that will come out for Xbox in the following months. You can check those out below!
Microsoft E3 2017 Announcements
Project Scorpio is Now Xbox One X
The upcoming console from Xbox that was previously called Project Scorpio is now known as Xbox One X. Right now, Microsoft is claiming that this is their most powerful console according to GameSpot.
Get to know why:
- It comes with an 8-core CPU, a six-teraflop GPU, and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM
- Rendering 4K resolutions, performing supersampling on 1080p
- It is a tiny console, currently Microsoft’s smallest.
The Xbox One X launches on November 7, 2017, and is available at $500 in the US (£449, €499, CA$599, and AU$649).

- There will be an expansion on the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility feature that will now support original Xbox games on top of the Xbox 360 games that are available on a console right now. This function will be added later on this year.
- Free 4K updates will be rolled out by Microsoft available to five “first-party games”. Gears of War II, Forza Horizon 3, Killer Instinct, Halo Wars 2, and Minecraft. As part of the Xbox One X Enhanced program, these games will run at 4K.
- Not only will the game’s mentioned be receiving this, there are 30 third-party games that will receive the free patch for 4K support for the Xbox One X. Here are a few of the games included: Rocket League, Final Fantasy XV, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Resident Evil 7.

Assassin’s Creed Origins
Assassin’s Creed Origins by Ubisoft is confirmed to be set in Egypt. The release date for the game is on October 27, 2017, and will come with 4K gameplay Xbox One X.
Players will step into the shoes of the last Madjay named Bayek. He is the protector of his community. This time the game aims to have deeper RPG elements. The combat emphasizes on countering and will be similar to that of Dark Souls. When using a bow, a slow motion jump move is available. Rideable camels are a means of transportation. If you want to identify places that you are interested in, you can use a bird of prey.
Black Desert Online
As an exclusive console release , this MMORPG Black Desert Online will launch for the Xbox One. It will also later launch on the Xbox One X. Coming to us by early 2018.
Coming to PC and Xbox One is Crackdown 3 which is an open world action-adventure. The game launches on November 7, 2017. Get to watch the game’s trailer featuring Terry Crews.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Play as Goku, Majin Buu, Cell, Frieza and more of your favorite characters in Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball FightersZ offers 2D 3v3 brawls and is coming early on 2018.
Forza Motorsport 7
Forza Motorsport 7 is set to officially launch on October 13, 2017. The game is available for PC and Xbox One. Soon enough, available for Xbox One X.

- 700+ cars, including 2018 Porsche GT 911 2RS
- The Hafeet Mountain Pass
- A Dynamic Weather System

Deep Rock Galactic – An exclusive Xbox One game coming from the makers of Goat Simulator and Sanctum. This offers a team-based combat with crafting.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps – Watch the cinematic trailer for the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest. No release date was announced for this as of now.
The Last Night and The Artful Escape – Coming to the Xbox One but without a specific release date as of yet.
Tacoma – Releasing on August 2, 2017, for PC and Xbox One after it was delayed last year.
Super Lucky’s Tale – An Xbox Play Anywhere game releasing on November 7, 2017.
Life is Strange: Before The Storm
Life is Strange has a new game coming with its first episode arriving on August 3rd of this year. It will still include the previous characters of the game and will have a total of three episodes.
Featuring an open-world, Metro Exodus is the sequel to Metro: Last Light. The game is releasing on all platforms including PlayStation 4.
An announcement by Microsoft said that the game will have a cross-play functionality. Get to play the game between PC, Nintendo Switch through Better Together, mobile and virtual reality.
Also, a new pack for the game’s update is coming out which includes upgrades to visuals and graphic effects. These includes improvements to “dynamic shadows, lighting that streams through fog, movement in leaves and on grass, new textures for mobs and villagers, directional lighting, edge highlighting, and more,” said the developer.
The amazing Battle Royale hit from PC is coming to Xbox One. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds launched later this year and were an instant hit. The game will also launch for Xbox One with 4K and HDR Support.
Sea of Thieves
Previously scheduled to arrive on 2017, this multiplayer pirate game, Sea of Thieves was delayed to 2018. Watch on extended gameplay of the game that was revealed during the event.
State of Decay 2
This open world zombie survival game is the sequel to the action-packed State of Decay. This game is coming this Spring of 2018. Watch the games expanded gameplay focusing on the online co-op below:
