All three game modes have one objective. It is to battle it out and destroy three structures of the enemy. At the same time, you must protect your own. There are four structures that need protecting: Shield, Generators, Torrents, and Power Cores.

“The structures create points of conflict to draw teams together for epic victories and crushing defeats within a single match,” said Boulle.

Also added in the multiplayer are new hero interactions and the four Escalation phases.

Boulle said that the interactions “give rise to micro victories that help make each match more memorable.”

“We want players to celebrate each time they defeat an enemy elite or Super Walker. Even if they don’t win the match, they’ll still have that ‘gotcha’ moment and some bragging rights,” added Boulle.

Different effects to the multiplayer matches is experienced because of the Escalation Phases. Examples that was set are, “effects like defeated units refunding a percentage of their cost, increased production by resource, or increased structure health.”

An amazing feature of the Escalation Phase is that it will keep players active even when they are on the losing side,” taking away some of the dead man walking syndrome of long RTS matches.”

Dawn of War 3 will launch on April 28, 2017, exclusively for PC.
