He is the level designer and this is what he has to say about his job, “level design is a very broad thing to classify. It usually starts with some vague concept or idea.”

The game Little Nightmares will put you in the tiny shoes of the yellow hooded girl named Six. Help her escape the nightmarish location called The Maw. The Maw is inside a huge dollhouse which Compher explains that “is largely the idea of taking a traditionally safe cutesy thing like a dollhouse and twisting it to create conflict of expectations.” He also adds that “There will be different levels at [The Maw], and that is all I have to say about that.”

The gameplay is “meant to be played out like an unfolding story”. He also says that Little Nightmares is actually not a Puzzle game, however, a game with puzzle elements. Critical thinking is needed in order to solve these puzzles.

To end the interview, Compher says, “We want everyone to know how excited we are to finally show off our labour of love. It’s our first original game and powered our hearts into it.”

Available on April 28, 2017, Little Nightmares on being played on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
