What is an Offline Game ?
An offline video game is one that does not need to be connected to the internet to play.
As more and more games, including many single-player ones, require an active internet connection to be played, offline games are not as common as they used to be.
Offline games are often single-player by nature, with the fact that they are unable to connect with other players online. There is no fixed genre for offline games. They can come in RPGs, first-person shooters, platformers, RTS, and even simulators. Just because it is offline does not mean it has to be only a single-player game, they can be multiplayer. Whether it is a split-screen FPS, a side-scrolling run and gun game, or a platformer where each player takes one life at a time, games can still be multiplayer even if they are offline focused.
