The recently concluded 2019 Golden Joystick Awards held in London’s Bloomsbury Big Top had some amazing winners announced. The 37th annual event had been hosted by Danny Wallace, the Assassin’s Creed actor and professional comedian. The event had been attended by the biggest publishers and developers in the industry.

We have for you the big winners for this year’s event since there are so much of it to go through. They are World of Warcraft Classic (PC), Days Gone (PS4), Gears 5 (Xbox One), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Switch), and the Resident Evil 2 remake (overall). Also, the Legendary Yu Suzuki from the Shenmue series, Virtua Fighter series and Sega had been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The winners had been voted by the general public, meaning the results represent the majority of what gamers liked. It’s just a bit sad that the event happened in mid-November, leaving out some big releases that happened the same month like Death Stranding and The Outer Worlds.
