A New Trailer For The SpongeBob Game has Been Launched Showing Kelp Forest
THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp Studios shared a new trailer for the upcoming SpongeBob game called SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. The trailer features are one of the game’s locations called the Kelp Forest.
The trailer is quick, just about one minute long and it is called “Welcome to Kelp Forest” If you are not familiar with Kelp Forest this is the description from Encyclopedia SpongeBobia, “Kelp Forest is a large forest that is on the outskirts of Bikini Bottom and the edge of Bottoms Up”. In the trailer, we get to see a lot of plants that look more like a jungle rather than a forest. We also see SpongeBob and Patrick jump from leaf to leaf in order to get around. There are a variety of enemies to be seen as well. Checkout the SpongeBob game trailer below:
The Rehydrated version of the game is a complete remake of SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom that first launched n 2003. The original version had been developed by Heavy Iron Studios and the new Rehydrated version had been developed by Purple Lamp Studios. The new version of the game includes a new multiplayer mode as well as some cut content from the original game like the Robo Squidward as a boss enemy!
SpongeBob SquarePants Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is launching next week June 23, 2020. The game can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
