Anno 1800 Postponed To April
Anno 1800 postponed two months from its original release date. Bastian Thun, the community developer of Blue Byte announced that their real-time strategy city-builder Anno 1800 won’t be launching on February 26 and an explanation was given about this in the game’s site.
First of all, Thun wants to assure the fans of the game that its development is going smoothly. “We are very happy with where the game and its wide mix of new classic features are today, but we know that it can be better with a little additional polish and tuning” he further explains that, “these extra weeks will allow us to deliver a game that fully lives up to its potential.”
Thun also made the announcement that the Anno 1800 closed beta will be starting on January 31. You will have to sign up for this though as it is a closed beta. Also, this doesn’t have a non-disclosure agreement so you can share your experience with everybody.
The new launch date of Anno 1800 is now on April 16 and is available to play on PC. There are some reveals promised by the devs as the launch date draws near. This will include a new feature, some multiplayer details, the soundtrack preview and most importantly its campaign.
