Another F1 2017 Classic Car Revealed by Codemasters

Codemasters revealed their newest F1 2017 classic car – the 2006 Renault R26! This is the latest classic car to join the lineup and there might be more reveals before the game’s official launch in less than 50 days.

Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella were the drivers of the 2006 Renault R26. Out of 18 races, this car won 8! It is the car that won the most races in the year 2006. This R26 was the car used when Fernando Alonso won his second Driver’s Championship.

Here is the list of the classic cars that were already announced and the R26 is the latest one to be added.

  • 1992 Williams FW14B
  • 1995 Ferrari 412 T2
  • 1996 Williams FW18
  • 2002 Ferrari F2002
  • 2004 Ferrari F2004
  • 2007 Ferrari F2007
  • 2010 Red Bull Racing RB6
  • 1988 McLaren MP4/4

There is a total of 11 cars available at the F1 2017 launch. A special 12th car will be available to those who pre-purchase the game and those who have the Day One copies, this car is the 1988 McLaren MP4/4. If you did not pre-purchase the game or have Day One copies, this special car will be available for purchase soon.
