EA hinted that the official announcement of Battlefield 2042 will be coming this June and that the game will be officially launching this year during the holidays.

Last month, vague hints were dropped by EA and DICE but come June, the most important question about the game will be answered: what world is the game set on?
The official date was announced via Twitter with just seven words made into a pun.
We think that the big reveal will happen during the EA Play Live which will be happening on June 12 and 15.
About the game’s setting, a recently leaked screenshot showed what looks like a modern military setting.
IGN posted that the launch date of Battlefield 2042 has been seen during the EA May 12th earnings call. We can see that the game is set to launch at Q3 of the fiscal year which is sometime between October to December 2021.
The game is currently being developed by EA DICE, Criterion, DICE LA, and EA Gothenburg and is set to launch for PC, previous gen and current gen consoles.
