Borderlands 3 Box Art Shared, Hidden Messages Seen!
Gearbox announced on Twitter that the official Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal will happen on May 1st at 6 PM BST or 7 CEST. But before all that, Gearbox wants us to look at their game’s box art that is loaded with cryptic hints about their upcoming game.
The first hint is the faintly printed morse codes on both sides of the image. The code on the left is interpreted as “Where is the Vault Hunter?” while the code on the right says “Who is the Destroyer?”. At the bottom of the image are a few numbers that coincide with the English alphabet when deciphered it read, “We don’t speak of Sanctuary 2”.
The highest resolution version of the image is available here. You will be able to see those hints for yourself in that image.
There are other symbols that were noticed, one of which is the small ship above the game’s title, you would see a moon that has a face, a key and also an equal sign right in between. It kind of looks like it is saying that the ‘moon is the key’ or something that is about the moon.
For right now, it is actually hard to make anything out of the clues given, but a lot are convinced that these are about the storyline of Borderlands 3. Everything will make sense once the game launches later this year.
The box art also holds a Borderlands 2 SHIFT code which is available with the new update. The guns in the image is the code which is 5B3BJ-XZWFW-T3KRZ-JBJTB-6WST9. If you enter this code in the Borderlands site in the Borderlands 2 game, you will get 5 Golden Keys as well as an exclusive Maya skin.
There could be more, check out the image for yourself and you might uncover some.
Borderlands 3 will be launching on September 13 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
