Cyberpunk 2077 Release is Unaffected by Pandemic

CD Projekt Red has announced that the Cyberpunk 2077 release will push through with the original schedule despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

CDPR posted on their official website that “the entire CD PROJEKT team has been working from home since mid-march”. Although they had to work from their respective homes, the team was able to work on the game “without major disruptions”. The secret according to CD PROJEKT Group is to avoid debt and accumulate cash reserves. This made it possible for them to continue working on the game, despite the difficult times.

CD PROJEKT joint CEO Adam Kiciński said, “There is no shortage of motivation and we also possess all the tools needed to facilitate remote work. We’ve been operating in this mode for over three weeks and to-date results confirm that we can carry on with all our operations without major disruptions. Our plans haven’t changed – we’re steaming towards the September release of Cyberpunk”.

In other Cyberpunk 2077 news, Michal Nowakowski – CD Projekt SUP of business development shared that the game won’t be available for the next generation consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X). They did say that the game will still come to these next-gen consoles, however, a specific time is not available.
