I have been a Cyberpunk-ish type of game fan for quite some time and the aesthetic, graphics and design of this one makes it one of my favorites. Although when I played it had a lot of bugs, many of them, if not all, were dealt with in the latest hotfixes and updates. Nevertheless, this game is worth a try, it is that addicting.
Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t have the best of launch, especially on console but over the years CDPR worked with serious dedication and finally brought the game to the result everyone were hoping for at launch. Despite being 3 years old Cyberpunk still holds up very well on the graphical department against the more recent titles, and does so without having any visual and performance downgrade unlike many new titles. Definitely a title to give it a try especially at less than 30€!
Cyberpunk 2077 had its setbacks when it was released at the end of 2020: technically not up to scratch, it needed major updates… but today the game is complete and ready to welcome Phantom Liberty, its first major expansion. Night City is probably the most interesting and incredible city in any video game: huge, full of quests, very pretty, vertical, amazing encounters, you get lost and you love it! The gameplay has undeniable qualities, without being revolutionary.
After a couple of years, Cyberpunk 2077’s Xbox version is in a very good state and is so much fun to play despite the initial problems at release. It’s a first person RPG with a non-linear story and good variety of combat options, from guns to augmented fists an melee weapons or enhancements. The game has an open world with a city and it’s surroundings to explore, either by foot or vehicle. There’s an expansion to be released somewhat soon with a new story and some improvements too.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that had so much potential, but unfortunately fell short of expectations. The futuristic, neon-drenched Night City is undeniably stunning, and the depth of the world-building is impressive. However, the game was plagued with numerous technical issues and performance problems upon release. Despite the intriguing storyline and compelling characters, the overall experience was marred by frequent glitches and AI inconsistencies. It’s evident that the developers had a grand vision, but the execution fell flat. With patches and updates, the game has improved to some extent, but it still feels incomplete. Cyberpunk 2077 serves as a cautionary tale of the perils of overhyping and rushing a game’s release. Hopefully, lessons learned from this experience will lead to a better future for the franchise.
