Set in an alternate timeline in the Danganronpa universe where all of the game’s main characters managed to meet each other in the resort island of Jabberwock. Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp is a board game spin-off that’s based on the Ultimate Talent Development Plan mini-game from Danganronpa V3 Killing Harmony. Play with an all-star cast of 60 characters and explore the island for all it has to offer to gather money through battling, upgrading your equipment, defeating bosses, and moving on the next island adventure. Ultimate Summer Camp has new character sprites themed around beachwear for all of the recurring characters, CGs, and 1000 new encounters not featured in the original mini-game.

• As mentioned before Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp features main characters from all 4 previous games in the franchise Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, and Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. In order to unlock these characters, you will need to participate in the game’s Gacha mechanics you will be able to earn credits just by playing the game or paying for them directly.
• There are two main game modes you can participate in the development mode and battle mode; Development mode is a board game that represents you exploring Jabberwock Island the player has 50 turns to level up in order to climb up the tower of despair, you level up by raising your characters abilities, finding new equipment and defeating all Monobeasts found in the island.
• Create a party of 4 characters and enter the Tower of Despair a turn-based dungeon crawler mini-game where you can fight waves of enemies to ascend the 200-story tower. You can also try and complete 3 special missions in each level to earn more credits to spend on the game’s Gacha mechanic, it can also drop items that can forge armor and weapons.

As part of the collection for Danganronpa Decadence, Ultimate Summer Camp is a nice bonus in addition to three solid titles. On its own, as a digital title, it may not necessarily be worth picking up unless players don’t mind the long grind that awaits them along their journey.
