Bandai Namco’s Dark Souls 3 has reached record breaking sales!

Bandai Namco has announced that Dark Souls 3 has reached record breaking sales with it being their fastest selling game ever. Dark Souls 3 also holds the most successful launch day in their publisher’s history. In Time.com’s report, Dark Souls 3 has been the fastest-selling “Souls” game in the whole history of the franchise (excluding Bloodborne).

The publisher has not announced an exact figure on how much sales the game has actually generated.

As a means to celebrate this milestone, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer that featuring the gameplay as well as the accolades of the video game critics as part of the video.

Dark Souls Board Game

A Kickstarter campaign has been started for the Dark Souls Board Game project. The campaign has only been posted for 3 minutes in Kickstarter and it already has gathered enough funds to officially launch the project. The Kickstarter campaign has been posted yesterday, April 20th. A post by Steamforged Games Ltd. said:

The journey has just begun – what an amazing start.  Stretch goals update coming soon seems several have already been smashed!

So far the project has earned £ 486,651 in pledges and is still growing.

The Dark Souls Board Game “will be a cooperative game for 1-4 players,” according to Polygon. The board game will focus on “strategically challenging, deeply immersive combat exploration,” as mentioned by Steamforged. Same with the Dark Souls Games, you can choose from one of the four characters that is based on the starting classes of the game. Fighting monsters as well as treasure hunting is also a part of the board game.
