About this game

Dead Cells is described as a RougeVania, a blend of two video game genres the Metroidvania and Roguelike, in a run you will typically go through and explore a large partially procedurally generated map separated into levels/biomes with numerous amounts enemies, hidden chambers, and items randomized as well. Dying again and again and replaying the game is par for the course, learn and get better.  Enemies, you kill drops cells You can spend the cells you collected to unlock permanent buffs and upgrades that persist even after you die.

• In numbers, you can discover 25 total biomes/levels, but in each run, you can only go through 6 levels/biomes, not including boss levels, try over 90 weapons and skills spread all over the game, a few hours of fun, and numerous amounts of rage quit.

It goads you to push the limits of your ability and mercilessly crushes you when you get too comfortable.

I’m not a big Metroidvania guy, but Dead Cells managed to conjure up the same feelings I had when I played Super Mario World, Portal, and Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. It isn’t perfect, but no game is. It evokes feelings that remind me why I fell in love with video games in the first place.
