Death Stranging features Norman Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges. The game is set in an open-world that launched in November of 2019 for the PlayStation 4.
In the game, Sam is attempting to reconnect quarantined cities to rebuild a society in the recovering United States.
Although not directly the same, something similar is happening right now because of the virus Covid-19. A lot of people are practicing self-isolation, and with the world recovering, just like in Death Stranding, we are now actually able to take photos and share them so that the world won’t feel so lonely.
The Photo Mode had been actually requested by a lot of players for a long time now. Kojima productions announced in a tweet that the new mode will let players “change angles, colors, frames, expansions and more!”
Death Stranding by design doesn’t have much infrastructure and focuses mainly on uncertainty and loneliness around the world and a recovering population. The photo mode would be a great way to show the isolation or perhaps the society that you were able to help build.
According to GameSpot, Death Stranding is one of the games that is best played while being stuck indoors, saying that it is some of “the best games to play when you’re stuck at home”.
Version 1.12’s Photo Mode is actually one of the biggest update that the game was able to receive. Previous updates only included small tweaks and quality of life improvements.
