Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is almost here and Bungie was able to share information on what players can expect when the update is complete. If you are excited to jump back into the game then you must read on about the details in this article.

Before we start, if you haven’t seen the launch trailer of the expansion, get to watch it below. You will get an idea about the new exotics and more.

Bungie shared a lengthy article about the upcoming changes, so what we did is to provide you with the important highlights only.

  • A UI change for damage numbers in the PVE has been adjusted so that the information will be useful to the players. Take note that there is no change in the player damage output.

  • When taking on higher-level enemies, the PVE difficulty had been modified a little so that players would feel that it is more challenging and rewarding.

  • Leveling up no longer require experience, to progress, what is needed is the Season Pass, Seasonal Artifact mods and Power as well as unlocking specific destinations for new characters. All characters will start at level 50.

  • Power floor is equal to 750, soft cap at 900, powerful cap at 950 and hard cap at 960.

For the complete list of changes, you can check it out here.

Aside from the patch notes, Bungie also shared a look at the three ritual weapons that players can get during the Season of the Undying. Check out the weapons below:

VANGUARD — EDGEWISE

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep: Edgewise

CRUCIBLE — RANDY’S THROWING KNIFE

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep: Randy's Throwing Knife

GAMBIT — EXIT STRATEGY

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep: Exit Strategy

A clarification had also been shared with the launch trailer as the Trials of the Nine armor had been seen. This actually will not be a part of the Season of the Undying and it was only an error. Some adjustments have also been made to the Nightmare Hunts Schedule.

Lastly, Bungie shares information on what will happen before Shadowkeep arrives on October 1. On September 30 at 6 PM BST or 7 PM CEST, the servers will go down. The maintenance will last for 24 hours. For PC players preloading is now available via Steam; console preloading will open within the maintenance period.

Destiny 2 is going to be free-to-play on Steam with the edition called New Light. Purchase Shadowkeep to get the contents of this expansion.
