Divinity Fallen Heroes Delayed Indefinitely
Larian Studios and Logic Artists announced that the combat-focused Divinity Original Sin spin-off called Divinity Fallen Heroes will be put on hold indefinitely. The game was actually scheduled to launch in November but the development may not even resume.
Larian posted in their official forums saying that “the game will need far greater development time and resources than are available now to bring it to fruition, in a fun and sustainable way.” we can also see another post there from Logistic Artists’ saying that they are thankful for the chance to work with Larian on the Divinity IP.
Since Divinity Fallen Heroes is on hold, Larian Studios will be concentrating on Baldurs Gate 3. Logic Artists, on the other hand, will continue working on the new Expeditions game as well as on their own new IP.
Right now, going back to Fallen Heroes is up in the air, whether they will team up once again and continue the game when they finish their own projects is not sure. But Larian said that “there’s a great game in there that will sometime reach the players who await it.” This could possibly mean that the project is not completely abandoned and development may continue after Baldurs Gate 3.
While waiting, if there is something to wait for, we can look forward to the development of Baldurs Gate 3, even though there is no specific launch date for that yet.
