Valve’s newest standalone game based on Dota 2 Auto Chess called Dota Underlords will be receiving a battle pass that is free and it is called ‘Proto’ Pass. Valve will be using this to learn how to make the Season 1 Battle Pass of the game.

The Proto Pass will actually be similar to the regular battle passes which will have additional levels that reward players with cosmetic goodies. This Proto Pass is free for beta players. The game is also in open beta so right now, both the Proto Pass and the game can be played for free.

Get to watch the video of Dota Cinema which is about the Proto Pass:

Rewards available in the pass are portrait rings, banners, fireworks and respawn effects, different streaks, the path to Sunbreeze board and so much more. During the beta stage, the developers are encouraging the testers to give feedback which could be done with just a special button. Every feedback will be regarded as “critical” in the development of the Season 1 Battle Pass of the game.

Also, a Dota Underlords update has been shared and it comes with UI improvements as well as some alterations to the abilities of some heroes.

Dota Underlords is still in its open beta for PC. The beta will also be open for iOS and Android before the month ends.
