Techland’s latest Dying 2 Know Episode is about Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s UI and accessibility.

Dying 2 Know is an episodic series of videos that presents the different development processes of the game. The latest episode is the 5th one and it talks about the game’s UI design plus the many hours of playtesting done.

Agata Sykula, Dying Light 2’s UI Producer said that the thousands of hours of playtesting have helped them create a customizable HUD that will let players of the game choose which parts of the UI they want to be displayed.

Those who would want an action genre can choose to only have their health and stamina displayed. Those who would want to play the game in a more RPG-like setting will want more details seen on screen.

Techland promises to have more changes to Dying Light 2’s UI after the game releases for a better player experience.

Along with the changes in the UI, came other accessibility features.

Players will be able to change subtitle sizes, choose background colors, as well as enable speaker names.

During Quick Time Events, players have the option to hold buttons rather than tap them. The color blind settings can also be changed and an option for left-handed players is available.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is set to launch on February 4, 2022 and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
