E3 2022 Will Not Be Happening

E3 2022 both physical and digital has been officially canceled, however, ESA promises that E3 2023 will be happening.

E3 2022 CANCELED

ESA (Entertainment Software Association) has officially canceled E3 2022.

E3 2022 has been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, then E3 2021 still pushed through with just a digital event.

The previous announcement that E3 2022 won’t happen physically was then followed by an announcement that a digital version will not be happening as well.

Instead of doing a digital-only event, ESA said that they will “devote all our energy and resources to delivering a revitalized physical and digital E3 experience next summer”.

E3 2023 “will bring the community, media, and industry back together in an all-new format and interactive experience”.

Even though E3 is canceled this year, we can still expect other gaming events and showcases here like The Game Awards 2022, Nordic Game 2022, and Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest 2022.

WHAT IS E3?

The Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 is a video game trade event.

The event brings together journalists, publishers, manufacturers, developers, and gamers to celebrate new and upcoming video games.

The very first E3 happened in 1995 and has since then become the leading video game event in the world.
