EA: Russia and Belarus Banned From Esports Events

EA has decided to ban both Russian and Belarus teams from any esports events and tournaments because of the war between them and Ukraine.

RUSSIAN TEAMS REMOVED FROM ESPORT TOURNAMENTS

EA has followed suit with the different developers and publishers in banning the Russian teams from joining any esports events.

The ban also extends to teams in Belarus since they allied with Russia against Ukraine.

Ubisoft also suspended the Rainbow Six: Siege Pro League in Russia as well as banned any Russian teams from joining any Ubisoft events.

Not only did EA suspend Russia and Belarus from eSports events, they also suspended games, virtual currency and digital content in those areas.

EA said that they “join so many voices around the world in calling for peace and an end to the invasion.”
