Taken in absolute isolation, this is clearly a great F1 game. But in terms of the package you’re receiving for your money, this is inferior to F1 2014, which in turn was inferior to F1 2013. So this is as much of a step backwards as it is a step forwards.

A solid first effort at Formula One on current consoles, F1 2015 is nevertheless hamstrung by a dearth of modes. The strength of the on-track action does bode well for subsequent F1 games, however, although F1 2015 feels like something of a stop-gap. That said, die-hard F1 fans will still love F1 2015 regardless.

Xbox Achievements

Once again, Codemasters has created an F1 game that’s true to the studio’s driving pedigree, but fails on other fronts. It looks nice and drives well, but unless you’re so caught up in the F1 season that you absolutely have to sate your cravings with a video game.
