F1 2021 is set to launch this year and both EA and Codemasters confirmed the game’s career mode and story mode.
F1 2021 got its official launch date after a leak had gone out. The confirmed launch date was shared through a trailer by EA and Codemasters. The date is set for July 16, 2021, and pre-orders are now available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
The game gets a new story mode called “Braking Point”. Codemasters revealed that they have been working on this mode for a long period of time and that it will “expand the gameplay experience”.
Lee Mather, Codemasters Franchise Game Director said that Braking Point offers the “highs and lows of everyday life in Formula 1 on and off the track”.
This new mode will come with features like My Team pilot manager game mode, 2 players split-screen mode, quick seasons of F1 and F2, as well as esports integration and more.
A new 2-player option is available for the career mode which lets you play with a friend against each other or in an online co-op. There are different driving aids to choose from which gives newbies a fighting chance against veterans.
Players are also able to align their careers with the real-world F1 season with the new ‘Real Season Start’ option.
As mentioned above, pre-ordering the game is now available. If you pre-order the game, you will get the Braking Point Content Pack that has in-game items inspired by the main characters of the story.
Players are able to race as Devon Butler, Aiden Jackson, and Casper Akkerman. This includes their avatar, car livery, suit, gloves, helmet, and victory radio voices.
