Farming Simulator 19

The Farming Simulator 19 review round up is here! Farming Simulator 19 from Giants Software and Focus Home Interactive promises players that they will be farming like never before. There will be three unique open worlds as well as two entirely new environments. The graphics has been enhanced and new farming activities, crops, and animals has also been introduced.

With all the new additions, as well as, the promise to be the best farming experience, get to know how the game faired with some of the critics in the gaming industry. To make it easy for you, we’ve provided a round-up of what they have to say below.

Score: 7/10

The first huge improvement is instantly obvious the moment you start the game. The visual fidelity takes a serious leap in the production values department. Previously static textures now have nuance, fields consist of individual stalks of crops, and the lighting effects (especially around sunrise and sunset) are just outstanding. Nowhere is this more apparent than when you are harvesting crops. Each shoot of corn or sunflower bends and moves in a seemingly non-canned manner. Given how terrible this has tended to look in previous installments, I was genuinely impressed by how far things had advanced in such a short amount of time.

Score: 2.5/5

Farming Simulator 19 wholly embraces each aspect of its design, so its hard to fault it for minor bugs and dated graphics. While many gamers may be looking for a more robust and full experience to spend the next 60 hours of their life in, there’s no shortage of content here. So while it’s all farming and none of the fighting or shooting or looting, it may be just what some folks are looking for: a pleasant ride in the country. Farming, plain and simple.

Score: 3.5/5

Farming Simulator 19 is, for its intents and purposes, exactly what it needs to be. Its farming sim systems are well balanced and easy to use, and fans will have everything they need to zen out for hours of play.

Score: 3/5

Farming Simulator 19 naturally prides itself on being the big new entry in the now decade-old franchise. In some ways, it is an improvement. But, that’s just the thing—only in some ways is it a step up. For the most part, this feels like a modest update rather than a huge overhaul to its predecessor.

It’s not a game for those who demand constant action or concrete goals, but I was completely surprised with how hooked I was once I started to put everything together. When you get your operation running smoothly, using the leftovers of your harvest to tend to your animals, it triggered a wonderful sense of accomplishment that I did not expect this type of game to bring out in me.
