Final Fantasy 15 Finally Gets A Release Date
Final Fantasy 15 has been years in the making. It also had a previous name prior to being changed to the name that we know now. There were some rumors that spread about the game’s release date and it has been since confirmed in the Final Fantasy 15 Uncovered event in Los Angeles. There were a lot of announcements revealed about the game but the most important is that the official release date is September 30, 2016 and will be available to play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It may seem that the game has been poorly planned with the name change and the years of waiting, however it has been revealed by Hajime Tabata in an interview with PlayStationLifeStyle.net that upon being the Director, a launch date has already been planned.
“I wasn’t the director at first, but when I was formerly entrusted with the duty (in December 2013), ‘September 30, 2016 is when we’ll release it,’ was the first thing that was decided. [ The date] was not something that was randomly decided, but it was something we saw when considering the time and cost for the amount of resource we had.”
Along with the game’s launch date, the Final Fantasy 15 Collector’s Editions were also announced.
Deluxe Edition– Steelbook packaging, a bonus outfit, weapons and a skin for Noctis’ car.
Ultimate Edition– Hardcover artbook, a soundtrack, exclusive play arts Kai Noctis figure, 4 in game item packs, steelbook packaging, bonus outfit, weapon, skin for Noctis’ car.
