The For Honor split screen function has been removed as confirmed by For Honor. This has greatly affected the online co-op mode.

“We decided this week to cut the split-screen…It was a feature that we loved, but when we looked at what needs to be done to support online co-op, for us it was critical to make the decision now so we can polish all the features at the Triple-A level and make sure that we have the most amazing experience,” as said by the producer Stephen Cardin in an interview IGN.

In as interview with Gamespot in the E3 Conference Jason VandenBerghe, the game’s creative director has said that the For Honor’s split-screen function is an integral part of the game.

“Because this is a game about fighting with weapons, split-screen is absolutely a key feature for us. You want to sit on the couch and beat up your buddy, right? That’s the thing.”

We have yet to get the confirmation of Ubisoft whether the split-screen function will be removed entirely or just in the online co-op mode.

Also, in other news, you can take part of the game’s beta by signing up with your email in the For Honor website.
