Halo Infinite Season 3 Now Available: Should You Play It?

  • The third season of Halo Infinite is called Echoes Within and it comes with a new weapon, a new matching season and more graphics options.
  • The new Halo Infinite season also brings ray tracing to the PC version of the game, Xbox will get this too but at a later date.
  • Halo Infinite is surely worth playing either for those who are new to the game or those who are returning.
 
 

HALO INFINITE SEASONS 3 IS OUT NOW

 

The Halo Infinite Season 3 Echoes Within launched on March 7 and it comes with a new weapon, more graphics options, plus a new multiplayer matchmaking system.

  Halo Infinite Echoes Within Patch Notes  

The new weapon added is the M392 Bandit semi-automatic tactical rifle. It is available to use in matchmaking and the Bandit-only Tactical Slayer mode.

The season also comes with a rotating playlist that adds these map and mode combinations:

  • Escalation Slayer on Chasm
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) on Chasm
  • King of the Hill on Chasm
  • Slayer on Chasm
  • Strongholds on Chasm
  • Fiesta Slayer on Chasm
  • Escalation Slayer on Cliffhanger
  • Slayer on Cliffhanger
  • King of the Hill on Cliffhanger
  • One Flag CTF on Cliffhanger
  • Strongholds on Cliffhanger
  • Fiesta Slayer on Cliffhanger
 

The new season also comes with new Forge features where players are able to customize multiplayer maps by changing some map objects.

Season 3 also comes with ray tracing on PC where the shadow that is cast by the sun has more details.

Change in matchmaking also brings the 343 switch from MMR to CSR-based matchmaking. This will hopefully bring better-ranked matches across the different levels.

Halo Infinite has seen a lot of improvement over the last 12 months and the new season, Echoes Within brings more tweaks and content to the game.
