
Highlights of the Microsoft E3 Press Conference
We have for you the highlights of Microsoft E3 2019 Press Conference. The briefing was filled with a lot of surprises and announcements. Check them out below:
THE OUTER WORLDS
Microsoft opened their conference with a new trailer from Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds. The trailer shared a quick background of the game’s story as well as some gameplay. The cherry on top would be they were also able to reveal the launch date of the game.
The Outer Worlds will be available on October 25, 2019.
BLEEDING EDGE
No longer a surprise, since it had been leaked a couple of days back, Ninja Theory’s Bleeding Edge still gathers a lot of excitement since this is our official look at the game. This new game actually sits outside of the Ninja Theory’s comfort zone since it is a multiplayer brawler. The studio is known for their single-player games until Bleeding Edge arrived.
Bleeding Edge alpha launches on June 27, more details will be out soon.
ORI AND THE WILL OF THE WISPS
The longtime coming sequel Ori and the Will of the Wisps finally has a release date. Moon Studios revealed a launch date trailer for the game where we see that the studio was definitely able to up their game for the new installment. This actually makes the wait worthwhile.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps will launch on February 11, 2020.
MINECRAFT DUNGEONS
Some Minecraft Dungeons gameplay has finally been seen during this year’s E3. It looks like the game’s direction is towards co-op action RPG. The trailer features a 4 player co-op for both local and online. It’s kind of like Minecraft with a Diablo 3 makeover.
Minecraft Dungeons is set to launch by Spring of 2020.
CYBERPUNK 2077
This could be the most exciting reveal for Microsoft as CE Projekt Red brings Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves to Cyberpunk 2077. Reeves was also present in the press conference in order to promote the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on April 16, 2020.
XBOX GAME PASS
The Xbox Game Pass is now live on open beta as announced by Microsoft. The games that are included in the pass are also showcased as well as the other games that are coming upon launch date.
An ultimate version of the Xbox Game Pass has been announced by Microsoft and it bundles Xbox One, PC, and Live Gold all in just one subscription. You can try that out through the link here for just $1.
PSYCHONAUTS 2
Microsoft brought Psychonauts 3 to E3, plus they also made the announcement that the game’s developer, Double Fine Studios was able to join Xbox Game Studios. The studio’s founder Tim Shafer shared the game’s first gameplay trailer after making the crowd laugh.
Psychonauts 2 doesn’t have an exact launch date but it has been said that it will launch this year.
GEARS 5
Rod Ferguson, the head of Coalition Studios announced that Gears 5 will be launching on September 10th. Those who purchase the game’s Ultimate Edition or subscribe to the newly announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will have access tot he game four days earlier. Also, the new mode called Escape had been announced by Ferguson, you will see the trailer below:
There are several events lined up for the summer in order to promote the game up until its launch in September.
FORZA HORIZON 4 LEGO SPEED CHAMPIONS
Playground Games announced the newest Forza Horizon 4 expansion which is called LEGO Speed Champions. It looks like a huge expansion having Lego versions of your favorite cars as well as a brand new Lego World.
Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions is set to launch on June 13.
TALES OF ARISE
Tales of Arise actually had some leaked screenshots prior E3, however, it was still exhilarating to watch the game’s actual trailer. The game had a massive improvement on the graphical side, which is definitely a must see.
Tales of Arise will be arriving next year.
ELDEN RING
Finally, we get to see what Elden Ring is all about. The game is a collaboration of George RR Martin and Fromsoftware. Although the trailer doesn’t reveal very much, you can definitely see the influences that both parties have on it.
There are no release dates available for the game as of right now.
PROJECT SCARLETT
Microsoft talked about their next console for the Xbox family which they dubbed as Project Scarlett. Load times was one of the main focus of the engineering team It had also been said that it will be 4 times more powerful than the Xbox One X and it will have real-time ray tracing.
Project Scarlett which most possibly will have a change of name is expected to arrive by the holiday season of 2020.
HALO INFINITE
A cinematic trailer of Halo Infinite closed the show. The trailer featured might be the opening scene of the game. This is definitely a must see as what the Master Chief saw before the fight, he couldn’t have been ready for.
