Highlights of the Square Enix E3 2019 Press Conference

The Square Enix E3 2019 opened up with the teaser of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. This is a great move as the majority of the attendees are probably there for the game. Of course, Final Fantasy 7 isn’t the only game shown. We have for you the rundown of the other games this publisher has for E3 2019.


FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake shared with us an extensive gameplay demo as well as the game’s release window. We also get to see the game’s hybrid combat system that allows players to give out normal attacks in real-time as well as enter special commands whenever the ATB gauges fill up. Also, switching between characters are now easier while in combat. Get to check out the full gameplay demo plus the game’s release date trailer below:

 

Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be launching on March 3rd, 2020 on PlayStation 4. It also said that this will “debut first” on the PlayStation 4 so, there is a change the game will be available on other platforms.


FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES REMASTERED

The release window for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered has finally been shared with us by Square Enix. The remaster will have updated visuals and voice acting as well as brand new content. Also, four players are now allowed to play together in the game’s multiplayer on both local and online. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered is set to launch for PlayStation 4, Switch, iOS, and Android this winter.


DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2

Dragon Quest Builders 2 shared a new story and gameplay trailer. Its quite a long one but it does go over many of the things that the players will be doing in the game.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be launching on July 12 for PlayStation 4 and a free demo will be available on June 27 on the PlayStation Store.


DRAGON QUEST 11 ECHOES OF AN ELUSIVE AGE S DEFINITIVE EDITION

Dragon Quest 11 is finally having a Switch port allowing players to have an epic adventure on both modern 3D and classical 16-bit. Get to watch the game in action below:

 

Dragon Quest 11 launches on the Switch this fall.


KINGDOM HEARTS 3 RE:MIND

Here’s another look at the first DLC of Kingdom Hearts 3 called RE:MIND. This will come with additional playable characters like Roxas, Aqua and Riku. Also, a new keyblade transformation for Sora is available and it is called Oathkeeper. Watch the trailer below:

 

RE:MIND will arrive this winter.


FINAL FANTASY 14 SHADOWBRINGERS

Producer and director of Final Fantasy 14, Naoki Yoshida promoted the game’s third expansion pack called Shadowbringers. We also get to see the game’s launch trailer which you can watch below:

 

Shadowbringers will be arriving on July 2nd.


OUTRIDERS

People Can Fly, a Polish developer has announced their new IP called Outriders. The studio head, Sebastian Wojciechowski even shared a dev diary for the game where we get to hear Bartosz Kmita the game’s creative director describing the game as a “dark modern shooter filled with traditional qualities”. Check out the announcement trailer below:

 

Outriders is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by Summer of 2020.


FINAL FANTASY 8 REMASTERED

Final Fantasy 8 is also getting a remaster, however, it is not the same treatment as that of Final Fantasy 7. However, it is great to know that the game had not been forgotten. You can get to see the updated visuals for the game below.

 

Final Fantasy 8 Remastered will be launching before the year ends for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.


MARVEL’S AVENGERS

Crystal Dynamics was finally able to unveil their Avengers games after all the rumors and teases. An all-star cast has been used to voice the heroes. Crystal Dynamics also said that they plan to support the game for years also new character and regions will be available for free. Check out the reveal trailer below:

 

Marvel’s Avengers will be arriving on May 15, 2020, available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PlayStation 4 players are able to get exclusive content plus beta access.

So, that’s Square Enix E3 2019 press conference. Clearly, both Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Marvel’s Avengers were the favorites of the roster. However, there were a lot more games to equally excited about from the publisher.
