Microsoft shared the steps on how you can get the Xbox Game Pass on Steam Deck with the help of Cloud Gaming.

XBOX GAME PASS ON STEAM DECK

 

The talk of the town in the gaming world right now is Valve’s Steam Deck because players are able to bring their Steam library where ever they would want to go.

Here are the steps on how to install the Xbox Game Pass on Steam Deck.

Note: We recommend using a mouse and keyboard when you do this.

  • Press Steam menu > Power > Switch to Desktop
  • Click the Discover Software Center icon
   
  • Through the menu choose Internet > Web Browsers
  • Find Microsoft Edge Beta and click install
  • On the Desktop, select Applications Launcher on the bottom left of the taskbar
  • Navigate to Internet
  • Right-click on Microsoft Edge (beta) > Add Selected Programs
   
  • In the Add a Game window, find and select Microsoft Edge (beta)
  • In the Applications menu, navigate to System > Konsole
  • Set the override by entering this command in Konsole:

flatpak –user override –filesystem=/run/udev:ro com.microsoft.Edge

 
  • Head to the Desktop and launch Steam
   
  • Head to your Library and locate Microsoft Edge (beta)
  • Right-click on it and choose Properties
  • Change the name to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta)
  • Locate LAUNCH OPTIONS and append the following:
   

–window-size=1024,640 –force-device-scale-factor=1.25 –device-scale-factor=1.25 –kiosk “https://www.xbox.com/play”

 

The controller layout can also be switched to Gamepad with the touchpad functioning as the mouse. Here are the steps.

  • Select the gear icon top right > Manage > Controller layout
  • Browse templates and select Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad
 

There are more than a thousand games available to be played on the Steam Deck. Having the Xbox Game Pass on the platform would add hundreds more.
