Hunt Showdown Launches as a Full Game

The multiplayer first-person shooter from Crytek called Hunt Showdown has launched out of early access and into a full game. Hunt Showdown offers a mix of both PvP and PvE elements which is quite unique to the game. To celebrate the game’s launch a brand new trailer had been published featuring its mechanics.
Hunt Showdown is set in the Louisiana swamps in the year 1895 where you get to play as a Bounty Hunter. The swamps are full of monsters that you can hunt and then exchange for bounty. The game can be played alone or with one to two friends in duos and trios. What’s interesting about the game is that you are able to steal someone else’s kill and turn it in for the bounty, but you would have to fight for it first.

Hunt Showdown had been in early access for about 18 months before launching into its 1.0 version. The early access time was spent testing, tweaking and expanding the game. Along with the game’s launch came new features like the Legacy weapons and hunters, a refurbished UI plus books about the lore of the game. The complete release notes can be seen here.
Also, Crytek announced that the Xbox One version of the game will be delayed. Right now it is available in the Xbox Game Preview, this is the same thing as the Steam Early Access. The developers apologized for the delay and assured the players that the additional time will be used to create “the best possible version of Hunt for Xbox”. Right now, no new launch date had been mentioned for the Xbox release.
Hunt Showdown is now available for PC.
