Larian Studios Tease Baldur’s Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a surprise announcement from Larian Studios at last year’s E3. Since then, we haven’t heard much about the game. Larian, however, broke the silence by launching a teaser that was released on Twitter.

The teaser is very short at 28 seconds only. In it was crammed some behind the scenes clips of the game’s production. Each clip seen is just a couple of seconds and we get to see on-site video captures, soundtrack recordings, as well as mocap sessions.

The most eye-catching of those 28 seconds is that at the end we get to see the words “Somethings Brewing” and above it the date “02.27.20”. This leads us to believe that we can expect a huge announcement from Larian Studios on February 27th. No more details were given, but hopefully, fingers-crossed, it will be our first look at the gameplay.
The first two games of the Baldur’s Gate franchise, Baldur’s Gate and Baldurs Gate 2 Shadows of Amn had been developed by Bioware and Black Isle for the publisher Interplay Entertainment. The franchise had been a success under their hands which brought about other beloved classics like Icewind Dale games and Planescape Torment which are also D&D cRPGs.
Those are really big shoes to fill for Larian Studios, as they will be handling Baldur’s Gate 3. Surely they would do a great job since their accomplishments with Divinity Original Sin is not something that anyone could ignore.
Baldur’s Gate 3 still doesn’t have a launch date as of yet. But we will surely know more once February 27th arrives.
