The behind-the-scenes video is from Warner Bros. Games, the LEGO Group, and Lucasfilm Games. We get to see the work that was put in when building its galaxy.

The developers said that this is one of the biggest games that they have worked on because of the numerous planets available as well as the different locations available to be traversed. The game also comes with a whole lot of characters as well as different things to do.

Warner Bros. Studios’ Head of Game Jonathan Smith said, “In Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, we had an incredible opportunity to build planets. Planets that we’d been to in our imagination, planets that we’d love as fans of these stories across nine movies.” Dewi Roberts, the Assistant Game Director also said that they have been working on the player’s freedom and would want to “blur the lines between open levels and exploration as much as possible in this game so that it felt like one cohesive galaxy.”

What is the difference between LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga deluxe edition?

The game will be episodic and players are able to unlock different planets. Some of the planets include Tatooine, Coruscant and Bespin.

Mark Crane, the lead animator of the game said that the planets are what brings life to the game. Crane said that the sheer scale is “off the chart”. The developers made sure that each planet is unique and has its own life as compared to that in the movies.

Is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga multiplayer?

Josh Pickering Pick, the Art Director described how they worked on the planets saying that they went through each one and talked about how each would be colored as well as what the textures would be. The planets have “so much original authentic Star Wars detail”.

Another notable thing in the dev diary is the level of detail that each character, vehicle, and item has. They wanted every character to look the part when it comes to what planet they are a part of. Weathering effects had also been added where the vehicles and characters become dirtier when they walk or drive through dirt. Sand and snow can also get stuck on their shoes when they walk through them.
