Life is Strange Before the Storm Video Introduces Chloe and Rachel

A new Life is Strange Before The Storm video was released by Deck Nine. The video is about four minutes long and it mainly talks about the relationship of Chloe and Rachel as well as who they are as a person in the game.

“People are inherently complex. This has been one of our guiding principles throughout both Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm. The idea extends beyond the protagonist of our game to include all characters in the world we are building, but especially true to both Chole and Rachel.”

You will get to see some of the key people in the game like Ashly Burch who is the game’s writing consultant, Zak Garris, the lead writer of the game and Rhianna Devries who is the voice actor of Chloe. “I think that Chloe is a compelling character because she is pretty wounded and in lots of ways, she has gone through a lot of things,” said Burch. Garris describes her as, “[Chloe] has this wicked wit that she uses to alienate others, to keep people at bay.”

Garris continued on to say that, “Rachel Amber has a power and charisma and a meaning to Chloe that is…incredible,” he adds that, “We don’t know for sure that it’s purely good we hope with the story before Before the Storm to raise this question of it can be amazing to meet a person who has that power it’s not necessarily a good thing all the time either because people are inherently complex.”

Players are able to decide whether Rachel would be Chloe’s hero or maybe not. The decision is left to the players if Rachel will make a big impact to Chloe through the course of the game.

The Life is Strange Before the Storm first episode will launch on August 31, 2017, available for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
