New Bordeaux is Mafia 3’s version of New Orleans

The setting of Mafia 3 which is New Bordeaux is absolutely stunning. 2K Games has released a video in their YouTube Channel where the Design Director Mathias Worch and Executive Producer Denby Grace recounts on how the city of New Bordeaux brings the game to life.

In the video, the developers mentioned that their vision of New Bordeaux is in the liking of New Orleans. Everything that has made New Orleans great has been placed in just one place. The city of New Bordeaux has a total of 9 very unique districts, what makes them unique is that each district has its own pair of criminal rackets. Each racket comes with their very own oncology as well.

Each respective district in New Bordeaux has its own distinct flare. You will be able to find a lovely bayou in the southern part, somewhere in the city outskirts is a mysterious swamp with alligators. A location where all shipments happen called the Docking District. As well as a wealthy high-end district that is called Frisco Fields, and there are so much more.

Very admirable is how the developers added the location Vieux Carré which is modeled from the famous Bourbon and Canal Street of New Orleans. It is a hip place where people can enjoy the nightlife and soul moving jazz music.
