Marvel’s Avengers is launching this year, and we’ve got you covered with everything there is to know about the game so far.
MARVEL’S AVENGERS HEROES
Marvel’s Avengers features six playable heroes that will be available at launch. These are Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, and Ms. Marvel. More heroes are expected to be added after the game’s release.
Each of the heroes will have a unique skill tree, abilities, upgrades, loot, and customization options. They will also be sporting their own gear, and the good news is that they will be purely aesthetic as the game won’t have loot boxes and microtransactions.
MARVEL’S AVENGERS STORY
The game’s story begins with “A Day” as the Avengers celebrate the opening of their newest headquarters in San Francisco. Things, however, take a turn for the worse when the Avengers helicarrier explodes and covers the entire city with Terrigan Mist.
Captain America wouldn’t make it in the blast and the heroes look to disband as they blame each other for the disaster. This also led a new organization called Advanced Idea Mechanics to take over the role as protector with plans of eradicating those with superpowers.
MARVEL’S AVENGERS MISSIONS
The game will task players into completing missions as they progress through the story across different regions. These will be playable in solo or in online co-op. Players will be able to form their own dynamic team by playing as different heroes.
Marvel’s Avengers will be available starting September 4th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will also come to nex-gen consoles.
