Marvel’s Avengers Introduces Ms. Marvel as 6th Playable Character

Upcoming superhero action game called Marvel’s Avengers from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix has shared a new trailer for the game introducing Ms. Marvel or Kamala Khan. She will be the sixth playable character for the game.

During an A-Day disaster, Khan had been exposed to a “Terrigen Mist” which gave her her powers to stretch, expand and alter her size called “Embiggen”. She does seem to be an important part of the game’s narrative as the information that she has will make the Avengers reassemble.

In an interview with GamesRadar, narrative designer Hannah MacCleod said that Khan’s powers “introduce a totally new element to our game and make our combat and exploration completely unique”. Another thing that can be seen in the video is Khan using her powers to stretch for traversals.

MacCleod further shares that the game centers on Kamala Khan as she is the one narrating the whole story. Fans were also able to get a glimpse of her during the San Diego Comic-Con gameplay video, this is a young version of herself calling out her siblings during the A-Day attack.

Play as Kamala Khan along with Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Captian America, and Black Widow. Marvel’s Avengers will launch on May 15, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
