MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries Opening Cinematic Revealed!

Piranha Games shared the MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries opening cinematic. It had been a long time since we were able to enjoy a good MechWarrior game, and this is about to change. The game is perfect for both new as well as returning fans of the series.

The opening cinematic doesn’t have gameplay but it gives us an idea of what the events were leading to the game’s new journey. War between the great houses had erupted because of human greed. This is also the time of advanced technology, with the creation of war machines called BattleMechs. With everything happening some mercenary corps had been hired by the great houses to fight for their war in exchange for money.

The MechWarrior series is inspired by the BattleTech board games that are actually set in the same universe. MechWarrior 5 is set in the time called the Third Succession Wars. This is actually the first game to come out of the series in 17 years that is from the mainline. If you had been fans of the series, you would know that MechWarrior 2 and MechWarrior 3 had received high praises back in the ’90s. Fans are hoping for something similar to this upcoming entry.

MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries will be launching on December 10 for PC. This is an Epic Games Store time-exclusive game.
