The launch date for the game was supposed to be this month but it had been delayed for another month, so the launch will now be in May.
Minecraft Dungeons is a top-down dungeon crawler that is diablo-like. It has procedurally generated levels and up to 4-player co-op. As compared to the first game from Mojang, this actually concentrates on treasure hunting and executing monsters.
The game will, of course, look like that of Minecraft and it will also come with monsters and bosses from the Minecraft Universe. This time though, you are able to earn loot, experiment with the various combat styles and evade from traps.
Dungeons won’t have any classes and players will be the ones who will build up their playstyle as well as their identity with the items that they decide to use.
There won’t be any online matchmaking, as the game had been designed to be played with friends. Online sessions can be played in the comfort of each other’s homes.

Even though the game is procedurally generated it still comes with similar things with the first game so that there will be a carefully crafted narrative that is in-sync with the game’s objectives.
The original launch date for the game was in April, however, because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the launch has been decided to be in May. Mojang said, “As you all know, we initially planned to release Minecraft Dungeons by the end of April. However, due to the current state of the world, this was no longer possible, as we wanted to guarantee the health and safety of our teams, and empower them to deliver the best possible experience to you, our players. We hope you’ll find it was worth the wait.”
Minecraft Dungeons is set to launch on May 26, 2020. The game will come with a Standard Edition for $19.99 and a Hero Edition which will come with 2 DLC packs for $29.99. The game is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
