Mirror’s Edge closed beta details has been finally announced by EA. The date has been posted by the Design Director, Erik Odeldahl which has been confirmed to start on April 22, 2016 running for five days and ending on April 26, 2016.

The lucky ones who were chosen from those who pre-registered for the closed beta will be the Frontrunners and receive an email that will have the beta code on April 22nd. The others who have made it to the list will be receiving their code on April 23rd.

The participants of the Mirror’s Edge closed beta will be able to play as Faith Connor and do the main missions, some side quests as well as other optional content. You will also have access to the game’s social play feature. The closed beta does require you to have internet access as well as an EA account. And like most beta’s, any progress gained in the beta will not be carried over to the official release of the game.

The social play feature has been highlighted by Odeldahl, this will let you connect as well as compare your skill with other players online.

If you are not one of the chosen ones to be able to play in the closed beta, fret not because EA has made a page for the community to post gameplay videos. You can watch it HERE upon the start of the Beta.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is coming to PC (Origin), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 24, 2016.
