Monster Hunter Rise Hits 8 Million Copies Sold

Monster Hunter Rise has reached an impressive milestone as it hits 8 million copies sold since it launched.

The latest installment of the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Rise first launched on March 26, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch and its PC version launched just this January 12, 2022. Capcom proudly announced that the game was able to sell more than 8 million copies for both the PC and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. These are impressive numbers as the game launched less than a year ago.

 
 

It is not clear though how many copies per platform were sold, however, opening the game on Steam secured a wider reach of players across different regions.

The Monster Hunter series has grown a lot since it launched in 2004. According to reports, the franchise was able to sell over 78 million copies as of September 30, 2021.

  Is Monster Hunter Rise a good game?  

Those playing Rise can expect more content for the game coming this summer as Capcom is planning to launch Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak the premium expansion for the game.
