Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Story Mode Details Unveiled

Game Informer recently interviewed Ed Boon about the Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath story mode. The story mode is said to have “thick chapters”.
The game will have five chapters and each chapter has a different size. Boon said that “It’s five very thick chapters,” he also added, “Traditionally we’ll have four fights in a chapter per character. This one, some have six. They’re much thicker chapters and longer. We’re really trying to focus mainly on these new characters: Fujin and Sheeva.”
Boon also explained that fans of the Mortal Kombat games enjoyed its story mode, that why they decided to create one for 11 instead of a new game with a story. “Oh, let’s do that. Let’s just hit really hard with a great addition – almost like an epilogue – final conclusion to the story.”
The game previously announced some guest characters, those characters like RoboCop won’t be a part of the Story Mode.
Also, the game’s story will come with a sort of time travel element as explained by Boon saying, “We saw there’s more that we can tell for this, so we came up with a little it of a Back to the Future Part 2 synopsis; you go back in time and you see the events of it, and then you’re changing the course of history. It ended up very cool.”
Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath has launched for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia.
