Mortal Kombat 11 Newest Character Reveal Is Noob Saibot

Netherrealm Studios shared a new trailer for the Mortal Kombat 11 newest character. He is actually a returning character, so basically, you know him already if you are a fan of the franchise. Their newest addition to the roster is the dark ninja Noob Saibot! Along with Noob Saibot is his body double. And together they can perform some pretty devastating combos.

Noob Saibot has a pretty interesting story. He actually is the original Sub Zero of the first game. This is how the story goes: Sub Zero killed Scorpion, but Scorpion is then resurrected by Quan Chi. The resurrected Scorpion exacts his revenge on Sub Zero and kills him. With Sub Zero dead, his younger brother takes his name and becomes Sub Zero. Quan Chi then resurrects the original Sub Zero who changes his name to Noob Saibot since his brother is using his name. It’s a bit confusing, but that it is how it is. Also, the name Noob Saibot actually came from the co-creators of the series – Ed Boon and John Tobias, spelled backward.

The shadow double of Noob Saibot actually play a big role in his fatalities as you can see in the video above. And you can also get to see that the siblings’ Noob Saibot and Sub Zero are actually not that close.

Another reveal trailer shared to us is that of Kotal Kahn. Kotal Kahn is the Emperor of Outworld. Check out his trailer below:

Another thing that Neatherrealm revealed is that Shang Tsung will be a part of the game’s very first DLC character. He will be voiced by Cary- Hiroyuki Tagawa. And if you are a true fan, you will know that he is the same guy who played the same character in the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be launching on April 23 and can be played on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you pre-order the game, it will come with Shao Kahn (who is Sheng Tung’s Boss) and also access to the game’s beta. You can check out more about the beta here.
