New Dev Diary Shared For Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey

Developer Panache Digital Games shared a new dev diary for their upcoming game called Ancestors The Humankind. The dev diary features how the evolution system of the game works. In the game, evolution is basically a means of progression as your primates get to learn new skills and pass it on the next generations.

All of these starts through discovery. An example is when one of your primates discovers a new tool. This will unlock kind of a small skill tree so that the players would have a kind of a ‘Neuronal‘ menu. The game can be played however you would want and the skills and neurons unlocked will be based on what you do in the game.

Can you evolve faster them science says we did? Aksed Désilets. Well, players will actually have a good idea as to what can be done in the current evolutionary space. Experiments can be done on different things to see if the primates can evolve faster. An example given is killing a wild boar in the game will evolve the primates into omnivores.

Each playthrough would be different because of all the explanation and discoveries. Each player’s history will be different.

Ancestors the Humankind Odyssey will be launching on August 27, 2019, for PC. This will also be an Epic Gamestore Exclusive on the first year of launch. We can expect console releases of the game by sometime December.
