“The save files on consoles won’t be compatible between different game versions (GOTY vs regular version) as they are treated by systems as separate products. This is something that’s not up to us. Sorry,” as posted in Momot’s reply to the question if the PS4 save files are compatible with the Complete Edition.

Also, in a twitter post, Momot confirms that The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt GOTY edition  will be having a separate achievement list.

The whole bundle will have the base game as well as two expansion – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine also in addition all the available DLC’s. Since saved files and achievements cannot be carried over, it would be best to purchase the expansion pass instead.

We will keep you posted once more details surface. We are wanting to hear what the publisher Bandai Namco has to sat.
