Official Driver Transfers Will Be Available In F1 2019

F1 2019 video game will be launching in just a week, and fans are surely excited. One thing to be excited about is the fact that the Formula 2 cars will be included in the game for the very first time. Another thing that fans surely appreciates is the fact that drivers can now be transferred.

With F1 2019, drivers are able to be transferred from one team to another depending on their performance. This has actually been true for players however previous installments did not let AI drivers move around the grid. Gavin Cooper, the chief game designer said that most transfers will happen at the end of each season “depending on the success of the driver”. Also, there could be a slight chance of getting mid-season transfers.

Previously, Codemasters announced that the additional characters, Lukas Weber and Devon Butler are able to move to different teams, but this is the very first time that they announced that this is possible for all drivers.

Before driver transfers were not possible because of licensing restrictions but it looks like Codemasters was able to fix that. Having the driver transfers and the addition of the Formula 2 cars makes F1 2019 the game’s most ambitious as of yet.

F1 2019 will be launching on June 28 and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
