ABOUT THE OVERWATCH 2 PVE
Blizzard recently announced that they won’t go ahead with the Overwatch 2 co-op PvE mode saying that they “can’t deliver on that original vision” that was announced back in 2019.
Back in 2019, Blizzard Entertainment said that they will be adding a new co-op PvE campaign for Overwatch 2 and it will come with long-term progression and hero talents.
However, according to a recent developer stream, Blizzard said that the features that they planned are hard to pull off and it requires too much effort. This made them decide to stop it completely and just focus on their plans for the Overwatch 2 live roadmap.
The Overwatch 2 live roadmap will come with PvE story missions that has canon and non-canon content. Also, players will have the chance to experiment with different heroes.
The first set of Overwatch 2 PvE missions are set to launch on August 15.
