To remove or not to remove, that is the question

The Overwatch Open Beta has been a huge success making a mark on the history of Open Betas. The game’s open beta has reached almost 10 million players as well as 81 million hours of play time during the time-frame of the open beta which was on May 5-10. Overwatch is definitely one of the highly anticipated games of this year. It even surpasses the number of participants for the betas of The Division and Destiny.

The Overwatch open beta actually has the same content that the game will offer at the launch date. Players are wondering now if they need to uninstall the Overwatch beta from their drives upon the full launch.

This has been answered by the game’s Director at Blizzard Entertainment – Jeff Kaplan. He mentioned that uninstalling the Overwatch beta will depend on whether you are playing on consoles or on PC.

PC USERS: You don’t have to delete the beta as Blizzard will be releasing a full content patch on the launch day.

PLAYSTATION 4 and XBOX ONE USERS: The open beta is considered a different and separate product. You must delete it from your hard drive and install the full game.

Don’t dare miss this awesome game. It will be released on May 24, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
