A new Overwatch Dev Update gives its viewers a year in review for the game as well as the visitors for 2017. Also featured in the video is the Overwatch director, Jeff Kaplan.

Overwatch launched this year in May. Since then, it had been a big hit with players. Also garnering multiple praise and awards under its belt. And an amazing thing about this is the continuous support that the game has. This year alone had so many updates like revamping the game’s competitive mode skill rating tweaks, as well as adjustments on placements.

Mr. Kaplan gave credit to the players and their feedbacks that helped the dev team in their decision making about the game.

We also had new characters introduced to us this year like Sombra and Ana as well as new maps such as Eichenwald and Ecopoint Antarctica. The Arcade Mode, as well as other modes were added. Seasonal Events had also been a great treat for the players like the Overwatch Halloween Terror and the Winter Wonderland.

It had been a definitely great year for Overwatch they are already excited for the next “looking forward to the new year, there is a lot of stuff coming,” as said by Mr. Kaplan. No details about it were mentioned that we can expect by next year.

The new map Oasis that had been previously talked about and is available in the PTR is expected by early next year. More seasonal events, customizations to the communications wheel and spray wheel, a special button for team chats, working on new heroes, new maps, Esports, and custom games are a few that had been announced.

With all that, Overwatch is sure to have a great 2017 as well. Get to watch the complete Dev Update below:
